There is an old adage: "Plan for the worst, hope for the best."

A bushcrafter should have the skillset required to survive in the wilderness. Over the years, i have been shocked as to how "untrained" people are, and end up in unnessessary dangerous conditions. Owning the gear is one thing, but knowing how to use it, is something else all together.

Ray Mears once said: "If your roughing it, you're doing something wrong."

This blog will be about four basic bushcraft principles:
AIR: the elements, Shelter, Clothing, and Protection.
EARTH: Navigation, Food, Fishing, and Hunting.
FIRE: Fire for Warmth, Cooking, and Water Purification.
WATER: Where and how to gather, Purification, and Uses.
